National workshops – Czech Republic

Workshop objectives

The workshop was aimed at introducing the project and its outputs to representatives of the Ministry of Health and other institutions involved in programming and managing ESIF linked to health as intended end-users of the outputs developed. Apart from that, the workshop was aimed at opening discussion between various institutions about effective ways of supporting successful implementation of health priorities under ESIF in the Czech Republic and at identifying health areas with funding potential under the thematic objectives in the 2014-2020 programming period.

Workshop content

The main issues discussed at the workshop were as follows:

  • Project outputs
  • Health context in the 2014-2020 programming period
  • Health funding potential in the 2014-2020 programming period
  • Effective roles of the Ministry of Health in the the 2014-2020 programming period
  • ESIF investment critical success factors

Workshop participants

The audience consisted of nine people representing various institutions within the implementation structure:

  • Representatives of the Ministry of Health
  • Representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development (The Managing Authority of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme)
  • A representative of the Ministry of Environment (The Managing Authority of the OP Environment)

Workshop outcome

The main outcome of the presentation was the group activity which allowed participants to think through all possible areas of health investments and identify beneficiaries that can be supported through the individual priority axes of Operational Programmes. Besides this, participants most appreciated the presentation of critical success factors. The workshop also brought together representatives of several institutions which enabled discussion among representatives of various ministries and other subjects within the implementation structure.
